Qigong has the power to create a healthy body and a healthy mind but what does it look like in the mind?
Focus is one way to interpret the energy that you are experiencing, especially when it comes to describing the effect that it has on the mind.
When we are focused, mind is clear, but able to get things done. Everything around us melts away and we flow from one step to the next. This meditation helps us to be productive in business as well as being a better listener to a friend.
Another term is clarity, and when we are focused, we find the solutions to our problems or the revelations that we were looking for. Only when we are calm and open minded we can reach this place.
This is different than other meditations that focus on having a clear mind or having no thoughts at all. With this focus you can either have a clear mind that is empty or focus on the task at hand, like an active meditation while working, and think of nothing else. You can tailor the meditation, so that while you are practicing you have an empty mind, and when you go to work, you are more simple, letting thoughts flow rather than get stuck.
We have so many thoughts: what’s important? What can go wrong? What step should I choose? We don’t know, but when we are focused and connected to ourself we have a better chance at making things good. Actually, saying things are good is part of making it work out well. We can find solutions as problems arise, instead of creating problems, we create solutions.
