Spirituality is not psychedelic

Spirituality is not psychedelic

When you hear spirituality what do you think of?
Is it giving up of oneself like Mother Theresa? Is it meditating on a hillside? Is it playing the guitar while smoking a joint? Is it going to yoga class? Is it buying crystals and burning sage and lighting candles?
Everything I described above are types of “spiritual experiences”, that can be related to spirituality, but it does not make a person spiritual! In fact, it sometimes does the opposite. Spirituality means connecting to Spirit, seeing there is something that unites all people, and believing in a higher purpose, unseen energy force, or G-d. It also means sacrificing some part of yourself for others and finding value in that.
Currently people are finding their way to their own spiritual belief system, but there is too much drug use. People are trying marijuana and microdosing on psychedelics. Life is too precious to take these risks. Anyhow, it removes pain temporarily and then the pain comes back, no different than medication. You need another connection to balance your emotions and your mental state. That’s why Qi Gong is so helpful.
Marijuana is psychoactive, which means it affects your brain and your mental state. It makes people daydream, become lazy or hyper-anxious. It doesn’t solve any real life problems. People think it’s not a big deal, but if you ask anyone to stop, they won’t. They become obsessed, dependent, and needing more of it. They want an instant way to relieve stress and it just doesn’t work long term.

Qi Gong emotions are more about realizing balance. What’s already existing and knowing you need connection. You actually do something to build the energy, which is the breathwork and the movements, and then you get results. You sacrifice something by putting in the effort and then it works. It’s not the easy way out but it’s also a gentle practice so it is easy, and it helps the body and the mind.

To be successful

  1. Wake up early
  2. Believe in yourself
  3. DO QI GONG
  4. Be in an encouraging environment
  5. Commit to a routine
